The Lagenda Peak only started to become popular in early 2022. It is the 4th highest peak in the Machinchang Range with a height of 656 meters (asl). Although it is lower than Machinchang 701, the climb is more challenging because the route is steeper than Machinchang 701.

The time to start climbing depends on what one’s purpose is. For those who want to see the view of the sunrise from the top of the mountain, the climb starts at 4am and needs to reach the peak before 7am. The best time to hike is in the hot season (December – March) to get the most beautiful view. . The Machinchang Range is always foggy when it rains and for those who want a beautiful view, avoid hiking in the rainy season.

For those who want to capture the peak, the most suitable time is between 7-8am when the sun starts to rise. At this time, the temperature is still cold and not tiring. At the same time, we will be able to see various types of plants and birds that come out to find food.

We will also pass unique rocks, which are over 500 million years old. The Machinchang Range is the only remnant of the history of geological and biological evolution since the Cambrian period (550 million years ago) in Southeast Asia. The terrain here is the same as in Alberta National Park, Canada.

The small hills along the way to the peak are composed of stones that are arranged and only attached with soil and humus. Climbers should be careful because these stones can slip easily.

On the way down, we will meet the path to Machinchang 701 where there is Blue pool. This pool is unique because of the blue light that emanates from the bottom of the pool.

The climb ends at Telaga Tujuh and the whole climb up and down takes 6-8 hours, excluding the time spent at Blue Pool and Telaga Tujuh Waterfall.
